Les Persécutions de Strasbourg

Christian Malfray (1974) studied electroacoustic music at the Saint-Étienne Conservatoire. He plays with Pierre Faure in the experimental duo Nappe (guitar and electronics) since 1997. He also plays in the free rock band La Morte Young. He organised various experimental sound events in the Saint-Étienne region with the Plusmoins collective from 2004 to 2010, and subsequently on his own. Since 2022, he has been performing Les Persécutions de Strasbourg, an ensemble comprising four sound diffusers, three cymbals and a string resonator, brought into resonance by an electronic instrumentarium (theremin, effects, feedback, spatialisation).
